The Center for Child-Safe Divorce (CCSD) is dedicated to helping parents shield their children from the chaos
of divorce-related conflict.
The traditional process of divorce often places children in the crossfire of adult conflict. At the Center for Child-Safe Divorce, we believe there is a better way. Our mission is to shift the paradigm of family separation from a legal battleground to a child-first transition rooted in emotional safety, collaboration, and long-term well-being.
Through advocacy, evidence-based research, and community education, we provide parents, legal professionals, and family counselors with the frameworks needed to minimize childhood trauma during family restructuring.
We envision a world where every family navigating divorce has access to child-centered resources, trauma-informed mediation, and supportive counseling — a world where no child is collateral damage in their parents' separation. We believe that with education and compassion, divorce can be a transition rather than a battlefield.
Education: Empowering parents with knowledge about child-safe divorce practices and the emotional impact of high-conflict separation on children.
Mediation: Promoting mediation as a healthier, more effective alternative to adversarial court proceedings.
Counseling: Connecting families with trauma-informed therapists and child development specialists.
Advocacy: Working to reform family court systems to become more child-centered and trauma-informed.
"Peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means"
